On a brisk night in October, we rolled back to 1993 for an evening of pure nostalgia, good vibes, and a focus on foot care. Earth Therapeutics Class of '93 Skate Night brought together friends old and new at Xanadu Roller Arts in Brooklyn for the kind of wholesome fun that gets your whole body moving and your serotonin flowing.

Roller skating isn't just fun, it's community-building in motion. It's physical activity that lifts your mood, connects you to others, and creates a safe, inclusive space where everyone's welcome on the rink. And what better way to celebrate that spirit than with Earth Therapeutics, a brand that's been caring for our soles since 1993.

The evening kicked off with Julia Kang-Reeves, CMO of Earth Therapeutics, who shared the ET origin story – founded in 1993 in New York with a mission to bring therapeutic care to everyday routines – and her love for legendary DJ, Casey Kasem’s "Reach for the Stars" theme. She reminded us of Kasem’s full sign off - “Keep your feet on the ground - and keep reaching for the stars” - and the importance of feet in the equation.

The star of the evening was ET’s' new Burgundy Star Aloe Socks, which had guests swooning over the super soft, cozy comfort. Then, the incredible skating maestro, Tanya Dean, led VIP press & influencers  through a private skate lesson, building skills before the public party kicked off.

The Party Heats Up

At 8pm, the doors opened to the public and DJ Dream filled Xanadu with nonstop '90s classics. The energy was electric as skaters circled the rink in their best '90s outfits, magnifying  the throwback vibes. Photographer Stephanie Turci captured candids all night long, from the VIP skate clinic to the costume contest [link to full gallery here].

90s Costume Contest

At 9pm, comedian Ashley Everhart hosted the highly anticipated 90s Costume Contest. Three categories brought out the best (and most hilarious) looks of the night:

  • The VH1 Behind the Music Award for Forgotten Boy Band/Girl Group Member
  • The Alanis Morissette Award for Most Ironic (Don't You Think?) Costume
  • The Blockbuster (RIP) Award for Best '90s Movie or TV Character

Winners scored epic prizes, including a portable DVD player loaded with classic '90s sitcoms and a Caboodles packed with ET K-Beauty. The crowd went wild, and everyone left with core memories (and sore feet).

Flux Photobooth was there all night creating the ultimate '90s photo op [see the full photobooth gallery here]. And Dita Gonzalez, Skate Director at Xanadu, kept the most excellent, ceiling-raising vibes with her infectious charm and expert rink management.

The Perfect Send-Off

Every skater took home an Earth Therapeutics Mini Tote Bag loaded with foot care swag  – curated expressly for post-skate recovery - including a keepsake card with a reflexology chart, showing the points on the sole connected to parts of the body.
